📚 Tower Challenge in the Library! 🏙️
In the library with Mrs. Williams, Advance Academics students read a powerful story about 9/11, learning about courage, teamwork, and resilience. Inspired by the themes in the book, students put their problem-solving skills to the test with our Tower Challenge!
Students could use only 30 sheets of paper and a limited amount of tape to build the tallest, strongest tower possible. One that could hold a can of food for at least 60 seconds!
The excitement built as we opened the mystery can to reveal the final test of strength. Every group rose to the occasion ....and every tower stood tall! 💪
It was an amazing day of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning that brought reading, history, and STEM together in one unforgettable activity. 💙
📚 ¡Desafío de Torres en la Biblioteca! 🏙️
En la biblioteca, junto a la Sra. Williams, los estudiantes de Académicos Avanzados leyeron una conmovedora historia sobre el 11-S, aprendiendo sobre valentía, trabajo en equipo y resiliencia. Inspirados por los temas del libro, los estudiantes pusieron a prueba sus habilidades con nuestro Desafío de Torres.
Los estudiantes solo pudieron usar 30 hojas de papel y una cantidad limitada de cinta adhesiva para construir la torre más alta y resistente posible — ¡una que pudiera sostener una lata de comida durante al menos 60 segundos!
La emoción aumentó cuando abrimos la lata misteriosa para revelar la prueba final de resistencia. ¡Cada grupo estuvo a la altura del desafío... y todas las torres se mantuvieron firmes! 💪
Fue un día increíble de creatividad, colaboración y aprendizaje práctico que combinó la lectura, la historia y STEM en una actividad inolvidable. 💙

Homecoming week is in full swing! School spirit was at an all-time high during today’s Homecoming Pep Rally! Students cheered on our amazing football and volleyball teams, along with exciting performances from our cheerleaders, dance team, band, and choir.
The energy in the gym was incredible as each grade level battled it out in the Crowd Competition. Congratulations to our 6th graders, who claimed victory after a close showdown with 8th grade! 🎉
And a huge shoutout to our teachers who participated in the Teacher Challenge: Balloon Pop and keeping everyone entertained! 🪩👏 Teams raced from one end of the gym to the other to pop balloons while showing off their competitive spirit. Congratulations to our winners — Mr. Ross (Counselor), Coach Carroll (Physical Education), and Mr. Evans (Social Studies)! 🏆
What an unforgettable celebration of school pride, teamwork, and fun! 💙💛 Thank you to EVERYONE who made this successful. Go Eagles!
¡La semana de bienvenida está en pleno apogeo! ¡El espíritu escolar estuvo por las nubes durante la Jornada de Animación de Bienvenida de hoy! Los estudiantes animaron a nuestros increíbles equipos de fútbol americano y voleibol, junto con las emocionantes actuaciones de nuestras animadoras, equipo de baile, banda y coro.
La energía en el gimnasio fue increíble mientras cada grado competía en la Competencia del Público. ¡Felicitaciones a nuestros alumnos de 6.º grado, quienes se alzaron con la victoria tras un reñido duelo con los de 8.º grado! 🎉
Y un enorme reconocimiento a nuestros maestros que participaron en el Desafío de Maestros: ¡Estallido de Globos y mantuvieron a todos entretenidos! 🪩👏 Los equipos corrieron de un extremo a otro del gimnasio para estallar globos mientras demostraban su espíritu competitivo. ¡Felicitaciones a nuestros ganadores: el Sr. Ross (Consejero), el Entrenador Carroll (Educación Física) y el Sr. Evans (Estudios Sociales)! 🏆
