About Dueitt Middle School
We believe all students can learn, it's our job to develop the skill set to reach every child.
Dueitt Middle School was named for O. B. Dueitt, the descendant of a family that first settled in Spring around 1876. Dueitt’s five children went to Spring schools. He served as a Spring ISD Trustee from 1943-1965. All four of his daughters taught in the Spring schools. His son’s wife also taught in the district. The school officially opened in 1980 and has grown to have an enrollment of over 1,000 students!
Our Programs:
Our students are encouraged and inspired daily to explore their dreams and goals in life, many of which involved getting involved in extracurriculars. Our sports programs are WILDLY successful as students bring home the win day and night! Currently we are reigning champs back to back in cross country, we made playoffs in football this year, and our girls B Team volleyball placed as well! We are also a Recognized Unified Champion School as our students compete in Special Olympics annually, sponsoring events both on campus and off! Lastly, with over 15 different after school clubs, groups, and teams that meet Bi-Weekly or monthly students are kept busy with our diverse collection of After School Activities and our Performing Visual Arts programs!
In the 2017-2018 School Year alone our Band program was nationally recognized, our Choir program was recognized city wide, Theater was voted Best in District, and our Visual Arts program took Best in Show at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show, as well as straight 4’s at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event.
We take pride in our strong heritage and community support!
